Harvesting is a gathering skill that lets you collect materials from monster corpses. Here’s how it works:
- Tool: Use an Obsidian Knife on a fresh monster corpse.
- Success chance: Each creature has a harvest chance (4–11%). If the random check passes, you receive a reward item (leather, wings, hair, etc.), a green sparkle effect appears, and your harvesting count for that creature is incremented.
- No re-harvesting: Whether you succeed or fail, the corpse always advances to its next decay stage — you only get one attempt per corpse.
- Tracking: Your harvesting progress is tracked per creature and visible on your character profile. Some NPCs and achievements reward dedicated skinners.
